Dourado

Since I moved to Portugal, I miss goldsmithing quite a bit; it remains a cherished hobby. In the Netherlands, I worked at a lovely jewelry shop and established Atelier Smeijsters, where I designed jewelry meant to last a lifetime. With much passion and dedication, I crafted each piece.

In combination with Qi Gong, I came across the name Dourado, which means "golden" in Portuguese—something substantial that connects me to gold.

Dourado also carries a beautiful symbolic meaning. The color gold is associated with sunshine and positive energy. It is used in various contexts, from art and fashion to spiritual expressions, where gold is seen as a color that connects with higher energies. In short, Dourado is a meaningful word that not only refers to gold but also embodies rich symbolic values.

It evokes beauty and clarity.

Through my love of goldsmithing and the practice of Qi Gong, I find a wonderful balance. Both disciplines fuel my creativity and well-being, and the concept of Dourado reflects the essence of this journey.

In my role as a Qi Gong instructor, I infuse the care and attention I put into my craft into my lessons. This creates a harmonious connection between the beauty of my jewelry and the inner peace that Qi Gong offers.
